Please allow 48 hours before collection of your repeat prescription either from the practice or your chosen pharmacy.
We now have two methods of requesting repeat prescriptions:-
- In writing – we recommend using the tear off portion from your last prescription. To further assist we have a post box situated in the front entrance porch for repeat prescriptions, which is checked several times a day and will save you queuing at reception.
- Electronically via the practice web site/Patient Access – in order to request repeat prescriptions electronically you will need to have registered for Patient Access and preferably nominated a preferred pharmacy where you would like to collect your prescription from.
Local pharmacies run a collection and delivery service for the housebound. We do require a signed authorisation form to release your prescription to the pharmacy – these forms can be obtained from the pharmacy of your choice.
Electronic Prescribing Service: The practice is a part of the NHS EPS service and will send prescriptions electronically to a patients nominated pharmacy unless other wise requested. If you prefer, we can post it back to you (you will need to provide a stamped, addressed envelope).
We are keen to ensure that patients with ongoing medical problems are monitored regularly. If the date for your next review with a doctor or nurse has passed you will be asked to make an appointment before a repeat prescription can be issued.
